This is my first blog in a long time and I am not sure with what frequency I will be writing in the near future. I have been focusing my time on the relief efforts of the area more than the FUN that Wilmington provides. As we all know, it may be some time before things are the same here in downtown and the surrounding areas. I have decided to make a change with the website. We will be only keeping up with the listings that are in bold. I am doing this because with spending much of my time trying to help get the city and beach back on its feet, that I do not have the time to keep up with all the free listings I used to provide. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I am taking this time to also decide what direction I would like the site to go in since the extensive storm damage has disrupted much of the FUN, and the advertising dollars it takes to keep this running. I have devoted the last six months to designing and blogging about this wonderful city and the beach areas, but not sure if I will be able to continue blogging the way I have in the past. Bear with me as I make these decisions in the coming weeks. The first large decision that I have made is to discontinue the events connected with the t-shirts. I may decide to try them again in the future, but given the circumstances, I do not want to ask the bars and restaurants in the area to give free food to something that is not for a fundraiser or to feed the those in need. As we know, they are also strapped for cash during this time. I do have some t-shirts left, so I will be selling them for $20.00 currently, and donating $10.00 from each to one or more of the local charities. Online sales only. I hope everyone understands the position I am in currently and will continue to follow the blog as sporadic as it may be.
No matter what I decide, I will continue to call Wilmington my home and work toward helping all the people of the area get back to having FUN at some point.
