Last night I visited Michael’s Seafood in Carolina Beach for the first time and Thursday was a great night to go. They had $5.00 appetizers and 1/2 price glasses of their house wines. The place was a buzz and after I had the food I know why. We tried the scallops wrapped in bacon, crab dip and steamed clams. On top of that I had the chowder, which was to die for and for dessert, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I took lots of pictures last night of the food, and it looked as good as it tasted. We started out with the appetizers. Scallops wrapped in bacon are one of my favorites and I must say they were prepared very well. The presentation of all the food was very fantastic. The crab dip was served with toasted buttered bread and the clams were also tasty. I was already impressed, but then had the seafood chowder. It could be the best I have ever had. If that was not enough, we then tried the chocolate cake. It was extremely moist and the frosting so light. What a way to finish the evening. I would definitely go back. There were many more items on the menu I would love to try. Below are some of the pictures from dinner.
As far as tonight, there are plenty of things to do like help Hey Beer celebrate turning 3. Kilbeggan at Slainte in Monkey Junction at 7:00. The Jam Sandwich Band at the Rusty Nail at 8:00 and Dos Eddies at the Reel Cafe at 9:30. And that is just a start. Not sure where we will end up yet, but you can keep up with us as we post on Facebook and Instagram.
Have a wonderful day and most of all have FUN.
