Good Morning,

Yesterday was a very busy day personally for me, so I did not have much time to go out last night. I did make the time I was out count. My friend joined me on my first trip to Indochine Restaurant. It is a Thai and Vietnamese themed restaurant. She had been there before and said I would enjoy not only the food but the atmosphere. She was right. Sorry, but went a little picture crazy again last night. Between the food and the restaurant itself, it was hard not to take a bunch of pictures.

The restaurant itself looked like most when you walk in. We left our name at the hostess station, got our little buzzer and were off to the bar since there was an extremely long wait to sit outside. I was willing to eat indoors, but my friend encouraged me to wait for outdoor seating. There was room to sit at the bar so I said fine. We were having fun picking out drinks just based on the name of the drinks. We decided on the Royal Princess and One Night in Bankok. After getting our drinks and enjoying them for a bit, she suggested we enjoy the rest outside. That we did. I took lots of pictures and here they are of both the inside and outside of Indochine Restaurant.

Our buzzer finally went off and we were escorted to our own private hut. It was definitely worth the wait. They looked like they could fit four to six people easily. The server started by lighting the candle in our hut, since it would almost be dark by the time we left. We started off with the appetizer sampler platter. It had 2 pieces of everything, which was very nice. On the platter was Cha Gio, Shrimp Goi Cuon, Crab Angels, Pork Dumplings, Coconut Shrimp, Gold Bags and Chicken Satay. There were also a variety of sauces for dipping. We tried all of them. We could have stopped at the appetizer platter, but wait there’s more. After we were finished with our appetizers, our dinners came out. We had decided to order the Pad Ki Mao as one, and the Rainbow Roll as the other. The Pad Ki Mao was new to me. It is chicken and shrimp sauteed in a dark sweet soy sauce with wide rice noodles, eggs, bok choy, broccoli, basil, carrots, tomatoes, onions, and bean sprouts with a hint of red curry paste. A side of peanuts and lime came with it. I wanted to try the Thundering Dragon in a Cloud, but my friend said there would be way to much food with two entrees. She was right. We already had to have two take home containers. The Rainbow Roll was also good. That is their California Roll topped with tuna, salmon, shrimp with avocado and tamago. What a beautiful picture. Was almost to good to eat, but we did. My friend is going to have another awesome dinner tonight. Next time, not the huge appetizer. I cannot believe we were even thinking about getting soup.

Well that was it for Tuesday and number 226 on the list. At this rate I will be to 300 by October. The weather is terrific today, so be sure to get out and have some FUN!!!
