I finished all of Wednesday, so it is on to Thursday. Not a surprise, I spent the day at the beach. I started in the late afternoon with a trip to Krazy Kones. It was the first time I was ever in their shop. It was such FUN. I walked in and first found lots of bins of salt water taffy. Then shelves of candy, as well as a Jelly Belly dispenser. The best part was the ice cream machines though. They had regular soft serve machines and then ones that dispensed vanilla ice cream with a burst of flavor. They had eight different burst flavors to choose from at the moment. The guy there said they change the flavors periodically, so I did not bother to list the current flavors. They also pop their own popcorn at Krazy Kones. While I was waiting for my ice cream, I tried the cheddar cheese popcorn. I only ordered a chocolate ice cream cone, so I did not bother to take a picture. I walked around the Boardwalk while I was eating it and enjoyed the late afternoon breeze.
After I finished my ice cream, I drove down to Kure Beach Pier and walked off the rest of the ice cream. When I was done, I sat in one of the swings and just enjoyed the beauty of my surroundings. I left to meet up with some friends after relaxing a bit on the swing and we headed off to the Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar to enjoy the fireworks. This was the first time I had seen the fireworks from the tiki bar since I had moved here. They were still good, but I do enjoy them a bit more from the Boardwalk. I was surprised to see how many people were on the beach just below the tiki bar.
After leaving the Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar we headed over to the Fat Pelican for a nightcap. After getting our drinks, we headed outside since it was so nice out. Then we went walking around for a bit, when we decided to sit in this area we were calling the boat. The base was that of a boat and we had to use steps to get in. I took a picture of it, but since it was a little dark not sure if you will be able to see it well enough. After leaving my friends, I decided at the last-minute to run over to Buzz’s Roost and visit my friends from The Rhythm Connection and sing a couple of songs with them.
Today being Monday, I know there is not as much to do as other days with so much being closed. My plan at this moment is to go to 22 North for dinner and try the rib special they have. Which that would make that number 249, because I am planning on going to another new karaoke place tonight, called Second Base to make that number 250. I am joining my friends at The Rhythm Connection for their first time KJing there. Everyone is welcome.
That is all for today. I know Mondays are hard, but be sure to get out and have some FUN!!!!
